Job Title: Part-Time Patient Advocate

We’re looking for a Part-Time Patient Advocate to join our team. This is a primarily virtual role, ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and helping others navigate the often complex medical system. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients and their families in navigating the complexities of the healthcare systems and services.
  • Review and organize medical records, identifying gaps in care, errors, or areas of concern.
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure they receive the best possible care.
  • Provide emotional support and resources to clients dealing with medical issues.
  • Offer consultations and coordinate with the Pathway Patient Advocates team to deliver personalized care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Trainable, willing to learn, and adaptable. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, health insurance, or patient advocacy is preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Reliable, ability to be on time
  • Comfortable using technology for virtual meetings and documentation.

Job Title: Part-Time Patient Advocate Assistant
Location: Michigan
Position Type: Part-Time, Flexible Hours

Job Overview: Pathway Patient Advocates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Patient Advocate Assistant to support our patient advocacy team. This role partially offers flexible hours and is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping patients navigate the healthcare system. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patient advocates in organizing and managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating care.
  • Support communication with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including updating patient files, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation.
  • Help track and follow up on requests for medical records and other relevant paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure patients receive timely and accurate information.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to Learn: Prior experience is not required, but must be willing to be trained in patient advocacy tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately manage documentation and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Remote Work Skills: Must be self-motivated and able to manage time effectively while working from home.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.) and able to quickly learn new software.
  • English Fluency: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Title: Companion Caregiver

Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Caregiver to provide quality care and companionship to elderly individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and has a kind, patient, and reliable nature. This role involves helping clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and providing transportation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to medical appointments, social outings, or errands.
  • Monitor clients’ well-being and report any changes in their health or needs to family members or healthcare providers.
  • Engage in conversation, activities, and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Non-Smoker: A non-smoking candidate is preferred to ensure the best health environment for the client.
  • First Aid Certified: Must have current certification in First Aid (CPR certification is a plus).
  • Experience with Elderly Care: Prior experience working with seniors in a caregiving or companion role is preferred.
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have access to reliable transportation and be comfortable driving clients as needed.
  • Compassionate and Patient: Ability to empathize with clients and provide patient, caring support in daily tasks.
